Taiwanese computer maker Gigabyte is launching two new ultrabooks aimed at gamers. The company’s new 15.6 inch and 14 inch ultrabooks feature Intel Haswell processors, NVIDIA graphics, and relatively slim designs for laptops packing that much power.
The 14 inch Gigabyte P34G measures 0.83 inches thick and weighs 3.7 pounds. It packs a Haswell processor and NVIDIA GTX 760M graphics.
The notebook has a 1920 x 1080 pixel display, supports up to 256GB of solid state storage and up to 1TB of hard disk space. It has 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, a headset jack, and SD card reader.
Gigabyte’s new 15.6 inch gaming laptop has a 1080p IPS display, an Intel Haswell chip, and NVIDIA GTX 765M graphics.
It’s a little heavier than the 14 inch model, weighing in at nearly 4.9 pounds. But it’s just as thin, at about 0.83 inches. Gigabyte still found room for a swappable drive bay that lets you choose between a DVD drive and a hard disk.
The notebook supports up to 4 storage devices (including SSDs and hard drives) providing up to 3TB of disk space.
It features 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, D-Seub, Ethernet, mic and headphone jacks, an SD card reader and optional Thunderbolt.
Gigabyte hasn’t unveiled price or launch date details for either laptop yet.
