Asus is adding a new 6 inch Android tablet to its Fonepad lineup. While the original Asus Fonepad was an inexpensive smartphone with modest specs and a 7 inch screen that seemed a little more tablet-like than phone-like, I suspect the 6 inch Asus Fonepad Note will cost a bit more.

It has more memory, a higher resolution display, a faster processor, and comes bundled with a stylus for taking notes.

Asus Fonepad Note

Asus hasn’t yet revealed the price or launch date for the Fonepad Note, but here are some of the key specs:

  • 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel Super IPS+ display
  • 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ dual-core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera
  • 1.2MB front camera
  • HSPA+

The Fonepad Note doesn’t work with 4G LTE, and there’s no guarantee it’ll launch in the US anytime soon. The first Fonepad tablet form Asus has yet to hit the States.

But with a screen size that’s closer to what you’d expect from a Samsung Galaxy Note, the Fonepad Note seems a bit more like a phone and less like a tablet than its predecessor.
