The Cube U30GT2 is an amazing tablet that sells for a great price and has only one tragic flaw: poor WiFi range. If you can get around the limited WiFi performance, the tablet has an excellent display, a fast processor, and a pretty solid software experience.

Geekbuying sells the tablet for $263, but the store sent me a Cube U30GT2 to review recently.

Since I’ve already done that, it’s time for another Liliputing giveaway.

cube u30gt2

This prize in this contest is a Cube U30GT2 tablet with a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a Rockchip RK3188 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

Note that you need to be reasonably close to your wireless router for the WiFi to work properly, but if you plan to play games, watch movies, or perform other activities that don’t require an active internet connection, this is a great tablet. It also works pretty well for online activities if you do happen to be sitting near your router.

The unit we’re giving away is the one I’ve been testing for the past few months. The box has been opened, and the firmware has been upgraded to a beta version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. If you want to install custom ROMs or other firmware updates, we’ve got some details on how to do that.

Alright, enough about the tablet. Here’s how to win it:

  1. Great website. Love your MiniPC section. Great review on this tablet you did. Keep up good work.

  2. This seems like a great tablet. Was gonna pick up one myself but since you’re giving one away…it’s better.

  3. Great prize. Would love to try a Quad core tablet. Also don’t mind the crappy wifi since the router is the same room.

  4. I was not so lucky with HDMI Dongle giveaway, I hope I could takeaway this. I rate liliputing great than cnet. cnet is full of advertisment. I love liliputing.com. Great work Brad Linder and his team.

  5. Hope to win this time! (fingers crossed!) 🙂

By the way, how would you contact me if I did win? How do I know whether you can contact me through disqus???

  6. Interesting even for somebody with three laptops, a tablet, and an e-reader (which doesn’t count those that my wife uses)

  7. I like the resolution and that it has an hdmi connector. I wonder if it can output surround sound via hdmi, or even just stereo. Some devices have trouble with this.

  8. My K1 has never been properly supported by Lenovo, how’s Cube? Can they fix the wifi?

  9. I’ve been researching tablets for the past week, trying to decide which one I want & this one looks like it would fit my needs great! Even if I don’t win it, I might just buy it 🙂 Thanks so much for the great review!

  10. Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute to sing you this song
I’ll tell you how I became the prince of liliputing dot com

  11. would be nice to have a modern tablet… the spider webs on my viewsonic gtab make it very difficult to use…

  12. Weak wifi no problem for me, I use a mobile hotspot, would love to have this baby…..

  13. Hopefully the wifi is firmware related, but the review was still strong. I,d buy that for a dollar!

  14. I hope you’re not giving us a reason not to be good friends with you, Brad.

  15. I can haz quad cores? I don’t even have quad cores on my PC…

  16. Looks great other than the wifi issues (which I hope they start fixing on so many of these android devices).

  17. I love the resolution, and would love to win it as a testing device for android game development. Thanks! 🙂

  18. Wow. This looks like it would be an amazing upgrade from my Touchpad that i have been using for 2 year, I hope i win it 😀

  19. Nice review and the tablet looks like a winner. Cube has a reputation of building a decent product, so I am looking forward to winning this tab as my wife has been wanting her very own 10 inch tablet.

  20. If you’ve got anything else neat cluttering things up, I’ll take those off your hands too.

  21. This is the tablet I’ve been looking at buying. Great specs for the price. I wonder if I couldn’t use a cheap ethernet adapter with this when I’m at home. It would be nice to win since my fiance’s son accidentally shattered my HP Touchpad’s screen

  22. Please choose me.. I’ve had a bad few weeks. I’ve been reading you for years!

  23. fantastic … i wonder when can we get retina resolution on 10″ tablets…

  24. Looks like a pretty nice/speedy tablet… too bad about the WiFi range, hopefully it’s something a firmware update could fix!

  25. Based on your review, I think I might pick one of these up while I’m in Hong Kong.

  26. Great giveaway, thanks Brad. This continues to be one of my favorite tech blogs – keep up the good work.

  27. Liliputing Rocks. This is one of the only times i’ll say that I’m glad I don’t work for Liliputing!

  28. I’m just about to go to college. A tablet would be an amazing “going to college” gift.

  29. You sure run a lot of giveaways. I like that in a tech blog.

  30. Probably the best value tablet on the market based on price/performance balance

  31. Thank you, you are my indispensable reading about small gadgets every day! Love It!

  32. I’ve not have a touchpad like this would like to have it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  33. I’ve never won anything before and I’d like to know what it’s like.

  34. I need a better tablet and I really would love to try out one with a Rockchip cpu. I have a Samsung Tab 2 7 inch and it is nice but would like a 10 inch. At least the gf would like it better!

  35. If I’m willing to pay for shipping can I participate? (also this is my comment)

  36. This looks like a great tablet. I would love to win this! Just discovered this sight and now I check it daily. Keep up the great work!

  37. Love to get my hands on this little tablet in my tiny studio where my router is next to my futon couch bed along with my kitchen stoves and flat screen, thanks in advance!

  38. I would love to load this with movies and games for my daughter. Pick me!

  39. look how many people emerge from the woodwork when there’s free stuff! 😛 this looks like a great tablet and while its better than what i have now, if i got this it would just mean sidelining (ie not using at all, more than likely) something else that’s serviceable ..

  40. My HP Touchbook w/ Android 4.0 runs ok but a tablet with a bit more under the hood would be preferred.

  41. Hope to win, that would be sweet. Liliputing rocks, I’ll be sure to tweet.

  42. I could definitely use that. I had to sell my macbook air recently and I was looking for something I could use with an external keyboard instead of splurging on a new laptop.

  43. This would be a nice early birthday present…it’s next Saturday. Really, I’m not lying or trolling. Anyway, thanks for giving away the stuff to whomever gets it.
