Tekniser is the latest company planning to launch a 7 inch Android tablet designed for gaming. The Tekniser Tek 807D is an Android tablet with a dual-core processor and game controllers built into the sides.

It’s expected to launch in Europe this summer for €150, which is under $200 US.

Teknizer Tek 807D

That puts the Tek 807D into the same niche as the Archos GamePad and JXD S7300.

The Teknizer tablet features a Rockchip RK3066 ARM Cortex-A9 dual core chip, ARM Mali 400 quad-core graphics, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot for extra storage.

It has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display with a 5-point capacitive multitouch panel. The tablet also has an HDMI output if you want to play games on a TV or monitor.

The tablet weighs about 13 ounces, and Teknizer says it should run for up to 9 hours n a charge.

One reply on “Tekniser joins the gaming tablet space with €150 Tek 807D”

  1. Interesting, but I don’t dig that style of d-pad.
I also wanted to add that a make or break issue can be the mapping utility that the company writes to handle the hardware controls.
It’s only through the continued efforts of community developers that the JXD S7300s mapping has become very very good, extending to screen swipes and such.
As a result of the information sharing JXDs own mapping tool has become even better too.

Hopefully it will be well received and supported.
