Google is rolling out an updated version of the Play Store to Android phone and tablet users. The new version has a simpler look and a design that emphasizes the different types of content available and makes it easy to find the section you want from the front page.
According to Google, the new Play Store also features bigger images and more recommendations. As you scroll, you’ll continually see additional apps, books, movies, or other content.
Google has also made improvements to the checkout process for in-app purchaess.
The new Google Play Store is available for devices running Android 2.2 and later. While it starts rolling out today, Google is doing a phased rollout which could take a few weeks. So if the new Play Store doesn’t appear on your device right away, just wait… or download a bootleg copy now.
