It’s been a while since Asus introduced its first ultrabooks with Ivy Bridge processors, but now you can finally buy one with an 11.6 inch display in the US. The Asus Zenbook UX21A is now available from Amazon for $800.
For that price you get an ultrabook with an Intel Core i5-3317U processor, 4GB of memory, and a 128GB solid state disk. It ships with Windows 7 Home Premium.
But you don’t get some premium features such as a touchscreen or high-resolution display. The UX21A-1AK3 model has a 1366 x 768 pixel screen.
The ultrabook does have a slim and light design, measuring 0.7 inches thick and weighing 2.4 pounds.
The UX21A has 2 USB 3.0 ports, a micro HDMI port and a VGA adapter, a USB to Ethernet adapter, and a battery which Asus says should be good for up to 6 hours of run time.
