The Google Nexus 4 smartphone goes on sale November 13th. But if you want to grab some of the latest wallpapers, ringtones, and apps from the Nexus 4 and try them on your device, there’s a system dump for that.
A pre-release version of the software from the Nexus 4 has been found and uploaded to a number of sites on the web.
The dump includes ringtones, sounds, wallpapers, and a couple of videos including one showing an Android doll… in space.
You can also find the latest system apps including the new Android 4.2 keyboard and camera apps. Note that this is pre-release software that may or may not run properly on devices running Android 4.1 or earlier — so if you plan to try installing any of these system apps on your device, make sure to backup your phone or tablet using ClockworkMod or TWRP recovery first.
Most system apps also can’t simply be installed like other third party apps. You’ll need to either flash them through recovery or remove the apps they’re replacing before installing them. If you don’t know how to do that, just enjoy the ringtones and wallpapers, OK?
Google hasn’t yet released the source code for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. So while some third party developers may try to use the system dump to reverse-engineer some of the changes Google has made to Android and incorporate them in custom ROMs for other devices, development of custom software based on Android 4.2 will kick off in earnest once the source code is available. That will probably happen on or around November 13th when the Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet go on sale.

I have no interest in ever having an expensive cell phone plan again. I use a cheap pay as you go phone for calls.
With great 32GB SD Cards being cheap, and decent 64GB one’s being affordable AND the fact that the Nexus 4 is only available with at-best 16Gb of flash memory, it seems like Google is just spiting people who actually use their phone to store things instead of relying on the cloud
And I’m pretty damn sure software developers know how to sort and manage files, so the whole “sd cards are confusing them” thing they’ve got going is just ridiculous.

But I would like a nice pocket computer that I can browse with when wifi is available. I was considering the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 or the new ipod. At the same $299 as the ipod this seems much better. I can do without the extra storage.
