Chinese electronics maker Zenithink’s newest Android tablet is one of the first devices to ship with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Freescale i.MX6 processor. The Zenithink ZTPad C94 features a 10.1 inch display and it can run Android 4.0 or Android 4.1 software.
A handful or sellers are already offering the tablet at AliExpress, with prices starting below $200.
The tablet has a 1024 x 600 pixel display, front and rear cameras, and a 5600mAh battery which the manufacturer says provides up to 6 hours of run time while surfing the web or watching videos.
It also features a USB 2.0 OTG port, HDMI port, and support for Ethernet using a microUSB to RJ45 cable.
The Zenithink ZTPad C94 has 1GB of RAM and will be available with 8GB to 32GB of storage. The tablet measures 9.9″ x 6.5″ x 0.47″ and weighs 1.3 pounds.
This isn’t the first tablet I’ve seen with Freescale’s new quad-core CPU. But it’s not just a clone of the AMPE A10 tablet, since that model has a higher resolution 1280 x 800 pixel display.
