The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix is an upcoming Windows 8 tablet aimed at business users. What sets it apart from most of Lenovo’s business-class tablets is the detachable keyboard dock.

While Lenovo has yet to introduce the Helix, it recently showed up on the company’s Israeli website.

Update: The Helix listing has been removed from the page, but you can see a screenshot below.

Right now there’s not much information about the tablet on Lenovo’s web page, but the site does confirm that the device features a multitouch display for finger input as well as support for a digital pen that can convert handwriting into text. The computer also has a 400-nit IPS display with wide viewing angles and gets up to 10 hours of battery life.

Lenovo describes the Helix as a detachable ultrabook “with tablet, laptop, and stand modes.”

According to leaked info that hit the web last week, the Helix has an 11.6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, an Intel Ivy Bridge processor (up to Core i7), Intel GMA HD 400 graphics, and Windows 8 software.

The keyboard dock also has Lenovo’s TouchPoint system with a standard touchpad as well as a pointing stick in the center of the keyboard.

Lenovo has yet to reveal the price or launch date for the Helix.

thanks Aleksey!

  1. At least there’s a stylus in Helix. Hopefully it’s using Wacom digitizer. AND hopefully the Helix doesn’t cost too much…

    1. Don’t count on it to be cheap.

ALL these new hybrids are way overpriced (beside the CloverTrail Acer maybe but its keyboard dock looks pretty cheap. The $500 tablet alone looks nice enough though).
I’ll bet for $900 for the basic (i3) model and up.
