  1. The MS Store now has this model listed for $899. Which is obviously an even better deal. The one I bought at the old deal started shutting itself off at random. Apparently this is a know issue with this model. The MS SIgnature support people were very nice though. Tried to diagnose the problem and decided that the best course of action would be to just do a return on the broken one and replace it with a new order. So ultimately I save $50. Hopefully the replacement will not have this problem.

  2. Thanks so much for this tip. I have been spinning my wheels studying the too-many options. I was prepared to spend a good bit more. But for less than $1000 (had to pay tax since I live in VA) I am quite pleased. I like that it is MS Signature so it came without a lot of junk on it.

  3. Wait – isn’t the UX31A 1920×1080? The $1049 one is the 1080 screen on Amazon.
