Ultrabooks are thin laptops with relatively zippy Intel processors, solid state storage (or at least a solid state cache drive, and a few other bells and whistles that usually drive up the price. That’s why ultrabooks generally cost a lot more than an average notebook.

But the CyberPowerPC Zeus-M ultrabook is one of the most affordable models around, with a starting price of $679.

CyberPowerPC Zeus-M

Sure, CyberPowerPC isn’t exactly a household name… and I don’t really know how to finish that sentence. On paper the Zeus M looks like a pretty decent option for bargain ultrabook hunters, but I’ve never dealt with this company, so I’m not sure I’d recommend spending $699 on one of their laptops. That’s a good price for an ultrabook, but it’s not exactly pocket change.

Anyway, here’s what you get for the money. A $699 Zeus-M ultrabook features a 14.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel Core i5-3317U Ivy Bridge processor, Intel HD 4000 graphics, 8GB of RAM, and a 60GB solid state disk.

You can also configure the laptop with just 4GB of RAM to knock the price down to $679.

The notebook has 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 and features an HDMI port, a 1.3MP webcam, and runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

The company also offers a Zeus-M2 model with 16GB of RAM and a 120GB solid state disk for $799.
