The first nightly builds of CyanogenMod 10 should be available starting tonight. CyanogenMod is a custom version designed to run on dozens of phones and tablets, and version 10 is the first to be based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Nightlies are new builds of the operating system which come out each day, incorporating the latest new features, bug fixes, and performance tweaks. But they may also introduce new bugs — so nightlies aren’t necessarily the best option if you need your phone or tablet to be, you know, stable.

CyanogenMod 10

Some of the first devices to receive CyanogenMod 10 nightlies will include the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Galaxy S III smartphones, the Google Nexus 7 tablet, and the Asus Eee Pad Transformer and Transformer Prime tablets.

More devices will likely be added to the list in the coming weeks.

You’ll be able to download the latest releases for your device from the CyanogenMod nightly download page.
