Acer’s next 7 inch tablet could ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software. Acer first introduced the Iconia Tab A110 at Computex in June, and at the time it was running Android 4.0. But a new product listing at eBuyer.com shows the Iconia Tab A110 with Android 4.1 software.

There’s no price or ship date yet, but the tablet’s expected to sell for around $200.

That’s the same price as a Google Nexus 7 tablet. But while Google’s tablet has a 1280 x 800 pixel screen, the Iconia Tab A100 has a 7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display.

On the other hand, Acer’s tablet has an HDMI port and microSD card slot — two features that the Nexus 7 lacks.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 features a 1.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. It supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0, and Acer says you should get around 7.5 hours of run time from the 12.65Whr battery.

  1. Def needs a battery update. The new Kindle Fire HD as well as the Nexus 7 beat this in screen resolution and battery life. I’d love to grab one just for the microSD slot, HDMI, and Tegra 3. Grab and sync a controller and I’ll be deadly online 😉

  2. what is the update it september and tablet not release yet a210 and a110

  3. i am waiting on this tablet because it has a micro sd slot and HDMI but if the screen specs dont change at the last minute like acer has been known to do then i am getting the nexus.
