The Acer Iconia Tab A210 is a 10.1-inch tablet with a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor inside. While very similar in look and specs to currently available Iconia Tabs, it has a few features that will make it stand out and also less expensive than its brethren.

It looks like the Tab getting closer to a release date since the device just went through the FCC a while ago and Acer recently posted a promo video. The spot is about what you’d expect from a tablet commercial — it shows the Iconia in use across various situations, used by both the young and old.

One of the aspects that makes the A210 stand out is the inclusion of a full-size USB port for transferring files. An aspect highlighted in the video.

While you won’t find a camera on the back, there is a front-facing lens. The lack of a second camera may be an effort to keep costs down.

Other specs include a 1280 x 800 display, 8GB/16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and a battery that’s rated at 8 hours.

  1. acer puts out some weird models.. how is this different from the a500? my a500 has full-sized usb, ext. sd card, hdmi, and a micro usb, tegra 2 …

  2. I hope this spells good news for the Acer A110 which I am hoping sells for about $200 after seeing the Nexus 7 in person I decided to wait for the A110. Having no expansion for storage is a deal breaker.

  3. If the price announced a few days ago for this tablet ($329) is the right one, it will be a serious competitor to the Nexus 10 tablet which should be priced at $299 but without the usb or the ¨µSD ports. But maybe the N10 will have a better resolution than the N7 and this Acer then. We’ll see.

  4. I’m sure some guy is going to skateboard by the ocean with his tablet under his arm. I invisioned him falling, his tablet hitting the pier, and sliding off into the water.

    1. Yeah, I don’t get the weird obsession tablet makers have with showing people carrying their devices while doing things not at all tablet-related. I also doubt anyone is skateboarding with their tablet.
