Google has added a new “My Android Apps” to the website for the Google Play Store, allowing you to view a list of phones, tablets, and other devices linked to your account. You can now tap on any of those icons to see a list of apps installed on that device.
What’s really cool is that you can also now click on a little trash can to uninstall an app. If there’s an update available you can also tap an update button.
This lets you update or remove apps from your phone from your desktop web browser.
Not all apps can be managed this way. For instance, this afternoon my phone showed three updates available, but the Google Play website only showed two. That’s because one was the Google Maps app which has to be updated manually.
Software that comes preloaded on your device and which can’t be easily removed will also have to be updated manually from your Android phone or tablet.
