At about $125 or less, the Zenithink C71 is already one of the cheapest tablets available that can run Google Android 4.0. But today Pandawill is selling the tablet for even less.

You can pick one up today only for $75.99.

Not only can this tablet run Google’s latest operating system though. It’s also the same hardware used for the upcoming Vivalid Linux tablet, which means you can install the latest disk image and make your own Vivaldi for just $76.

Zenithink C71

That’s not bad, considering the Vivaldi is expected to sell for close to $200.

I’m not saying the Vivaldi tablet won’t be worth $200. The tablet will have twice as much RAM as the standard Zenithink C71, and part of the money will be used to help make the project to manufacture and sell a tablet with open source KDE Plasma Active software sustainable.

But if you don’t care about any of those things, here’s what you get with a $76 Zenithink C71 tablet:

  • 7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel capacitive touchscreen display (150 degree viewing angle)
  • 1 GHz Amlogic ARM Cortex-A9 CPU
  • Mali 400 graphics
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 4GB of storage
  • microSD card slot
  • 1.3MP camera
  • 802.11n WiFi
  • HDMI, audio, USB ports
  • 2400mAh battery (2-3 hours battery life)
  • 7.6″ x 4.7″ x 0.6″
  • 12.7 ounces

The low resolution display and poor battery life are kind of disappointing. But it’s hard to beat the price.

Even after today’s sale ends, Pandawill will continue to offer the C71 tablet for $108.

  1. pandawill is the Biggest scam going,,there sale last nite started at 1 am est,,at 1 second past that it showed out of stock,,,this is definitly a scam site

    1. I should probably have mentioned that when this article went live at 9:31 Pandawill’s site said there were only 10 left in stock. I doubt it took long for them to sell through the remaining inventory.

  2.  forgot to mention, the version i have has a crummy mic.  i’m not sure if this newest version deals with that part.

  3. good tablet, poor battery life.  the vivaldi doubles the ram and the nand.  ram is probably the bigger deal since this has a microsd slot.

  4. Vivaldi will also have twice as much (8GiB of storage). I believe it is important and well worth to invest in sustainability (and true openness of the software) by buying the Vivaldi. I already ordered one and can’t wait until it postman delivers it.
