Earlier this year Asus introduced a new low-power, tiny desktop computer called the Eee Box EB1031. It’s still not available for purchase in the US, but the folks at Netbook News just spotted a new model that packs a little more punch thanks to an NVIDIA graphics card.

Like the EB1031, the new Asus Eee Box EB1033 comes with either a 1.86 GHz Intel Atom D2550 or 2.13 GHz Intel Atom D2700 Cedar Trial dual core processor. But while the original model relied on Intel’s integrated graphics solution, the EB1033 offers NVIDIA GeForce 610M graphics for 3D gaming, HD video playback, and other tasks that can benefit from a discrete graphics card.

The netbook-like desktop (or nettop) has 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, and Ethernet jacks. It also supports WiFi and comes with 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

While I wouldn’t recommend using a computer with an Atom processor as a high-end gaming rig, this system might serve as a low-power home theater PC. It could also be a cheap option for enterprise customers looking for thin clients or similar solutions.

Netbook News reports that the Eee Box EB1033 will be available in some parts of the world in late June for around $300.
