Now that AMD has announced it’s next-generation notebook processors are shipping it’s just a matter of time before we start to see laptops with the new chips. While there aren’t any of those new laptops available in the US yet, MSI appears to be offering a new 11.6 inch notebook with an AMD E2-1800 processor in Korea.

MSI L2700

The MSI L2700 has a 1.7 GHz AMD Brazos 2.0 processor, Radeon HD 7340 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 64GB solid state disk, and a 6 cell battery.

The laptop has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and weighs about 2.9 pounds.

Like most laptops with newer AMD or Intel chips, the L2700 has more than enough graphics power to handle HD video and it includes an HDMI port for an external display. It also has a D-Sub port, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth and WiFi.

There’s no word on how much this laptop will cost if and when it goes on sale in the US, but it’s selling for the equivalent of about $438 in Korea.

  1. The E2-1800 is not a Trinity processor, but rather “Brazos 2.0”, a mild refresh of the E450/E350 parts already shipping.
