The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga is a Windows 8 convertible tablet-style notebook with an unusual design. Instead of twisting the screen to fold down flat over the keyboard when you’re using the computer in tablet mode, you simply push the screen back nearly 360 degrees until you have a flat computer with the keyboard facing one direction and the screen the other.

Lenovo showed off an early prototype of the Yoga at CES in January. Now the company’s UK branch has provided a few more details, including an updated price.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga

The convertible tablet is expected to sell for £1,199, or about $1900 in the UK. That’s quite a bit higher than the $1199 US price Lenovo was throwing around earlier this year — but the computer will probably be cheaper if and when it goes on sale in the US.

The IdeaPad Yoga features a 13.3 inch, 1600 x 900 pixel multitouch display, an Intel Core series processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage thanks to a solid state disk. It’s measures about 0.67 inches thick and weigh about 3.1 pounds.

Basically the Yoga will be one of the first ultrabooks that’s also a tablet.

Lenovo plans to begin selling the IdeaPad Yoga in the second half of the year when Windows 8 launches.

  1. It has up to 8GB storage, and up to 256 GB storage? Do some more editing and specify for the pleebs between RAM and storage, thanks!

    1. Because they build computer for business…. Most of Lenovo’s  products are more expensive than Apple. Apple is expensive because of the name and brand..Lenovo is expensive because of what their products are made of.

    1.  I would not call this low res @ 13″. It’s higher res than a 13″ MacBook Air.
