Sharp is introducing a new 10 inch tablet in Japan which features a spec sheet that looked like it was ripped from last year’s headlines.
The Sharp RW-T110 tablet has a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1 GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor and Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread software. It ha s8GB of storage, and a 6240mAh battery.
Sharp also threw in a little 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS.
The only feature that really helps the tablet stand out is the NFC (Near Field Communications) chip for mobile payments and other really short-range wireless transactions.
The tablet measures 10.2″ x 7.1″ x 0.39″ and weighs 1.4 pounds.
Sharp is positioning the RW-T110 as an enterprise device. It will go on sale in Japan on March 27th. There’s no word on whether we’ll ever see it internationally.
