British PC maker Novatech plans to start offering a line of ultrabooks soon. Like ultrabooks from Acer, Asus, Dell, and HP, the Novatech nFinity will be thin and light computers with Intel processors.

But Novatech will undercut the competition on price. The cheapest nFinity ultrabook model will run £430, or about $687. That’s not bad when you consider that computers are typically more expensive in the UK than the US — and that US ultrabooks tend to cost $799 or more.

The entry level Novatech nFinity will feature an Intel Core i3 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 64GB solid state disk. The company will also offer pricier models with Core i5 and Core i7 processors, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB disks.

The laptops feature 14 inch displays, weigh about 3.6 pounds, and measure about 0.7 inches thick, which puts them squarely in ultrabook territory.

  1. It’s nice especially because it’s not expensive. Sure, it may not offer a full-aluminum casing or USB 3.0, but for that price you can’t expect much, right?!

Still, best value for the buck in my opinion.
