Acer is adding a new thin and light laptop with a 15 inch display to its line of ultrabooks. The Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 features an Intel Core i-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics.
The laptop measures about 0.8 inches thick, but has space for an optional DVD drive. Acer will offer M3 models with a solid state disk and a large hard drive, or with just an SSD.
Acer says the laptop will get up to 8 hours of battery life, resume from sleep in just 1.5 seconds, and connect to the internet in 2.5 seconds.
The laptop is expected to go on sale around the globe later this month. There’s no word on screen resolution, storage capacity, or other specifications yet.
Acer will also offer an M5 model with a 14 inch display. No, I don’t know why the M3 is larger than the M5 either.
