It seems like just last month that ViewSonic introduced a new 7 inch Android tablet and 10 inch Windows and Android tablets… because it was. But now it looks like the company’s got three more tablets in the pipeline.

ViewSonic ViewPad P100

Engadget reports that ViewSonic will introduce 7 inch, 9.7 inch, and 10 inch tablet at Mobile World Congress next week.

The 7 inch model is the ViewSonic ViewPad G70 we already knew about. That model has a 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage along with Google Android 4.0 software.

The 9.7 inch ViewPad E100 has a 1 GHz processor, a 1024 x 768 pixel display, and Android 4.0 Ice Ice Cream Sandiwch operating system. It will measure less than 0.4 inches thick and weigh about 1.4 pounds.

I can’t help but wonder if this is just an updated version of the Chinese ViewPad 97a we heard about in December.

ViewSonic’s last new model is the ViewPad P100 which has a 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N2600 Cedar Trail processor and Windows 7 operating system.

Judging by the press photo, I’d guess that this is a modified version of the Viewpad 10pi with an Intel Atom Cedar Trail chip replacing the slower Oak Trail processor found in the original.

Update: The ViewPad G70 is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2012 for $399 or less, while the 9.7 inch E100 will ship around the same time for under $499.

  1. darn it, should have waited a bit longer. That E100 seems to fit my considered tablet use perfectly.
