Verizion is rolling out software updates for the Motorola Droid XYBOARD 8.2 and XYBOARD 10.1 tablets. The update offers a number of improvements — including support for global roaming.
That means you can connect to the internet over 4G anywhere in the world where there’s a supported network — although Verizon will likely charge you a pretty hefty roaming fee.
But according to the folks at Droid Life, that makes the XYBOARD tablets the first 4G LTE devices from Verizon that support international roaming.
Other changes in the update include improved scrolling in the web browser, better touch response, wireless improvements, and the ability to use the keyboard when the tablet is in a docking station.
Droid XYBOARD users should be prompted to install the software update soon. You can find more information about the 1.6.0M_279-MZ617Â softwarepdate for the XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1 tablets at Verizon’s website.
