Cowon has released a new Android-powered portable media player in Korea. The Cowon Z2 Plenue has a highly customized version of Android, a 1 GHz Telechips ARM Coretx-A8 processor, and support for 1080p HD video playback.
The PMP has a 3.7 inch, 800 x 480 pixel AMOLE Ddisplay, WiFI, Bluetooth, FM radio, and built-in speakers and a mic. It’s available with between 8GB and 32GB of storage and there’s a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Cowon Z2 Plenue sells for between $230 and $300 in Korea. There’s no word on if or when it will be available abroad, but the company’s older Cowon D2 Plenue with similar specs is already available in the US. You can pick up a 32GB model from Amazon for $220.
