Toshiba already offers a line of 7 and 10 inch Thrive tablets, and the company just introduced the 10.1 inch Excite tablet which is one of the thinnest around. Now the company is also showing off concepts for a handful of additional tablets, including models with 5.1, 7.7, and even 13.3 inch displays.
The devices on display are just early prototypes and they’re locked away behind glass. But here’s a brief overview.
The 5.1 inch model is unusually wide, with a 21:9 screen aspect ratio. It could be ideal for watching movies, but Toshiba’s demo video loop also shows it can display widescreen photos or be used for other applications such as home automation.
Toshiba’s 7.7 inch device has an AMOLED display with vibrant colors.
If today’s tablets just feel too small for you, Toshiba is also showing a 13.3 inch model which could function as a TV remote control, home automation controller, enormous picture frame, or an all-purpose big-ass tablet.
