Just when you thought every mobile device maker had already launched an Android tablet, along comes the Pantech Element. While Pantech may not be a household name, the company does have a pretty solid reputation for making sturdy electronics — and the Pantech Element tablet features a waterproof (or at least splash-proof) design.
BGR reports that AT&T will offer the Pantech Element starting January 8th for $299.99 and up. To get that price you’ll need to sign up for a 2-year contract. You can also buy the tablet outright for $449.99.
The Pantech Element has an 8 inch screen, 1.5 GHz dual core CPU, 16GB of storage, front and rear cameras and Android 3.2 Honeycomb uperating system. It also has a 4G LTE radio for use on AT&T’s mobile broadband network.
