Asus introduce a new line of low-cost Eee PC notebooks and netbooks at CES earlier this month. But the company also has  new high-end ultraportable laptop. The Asus B23E is a 3.4 pound notebook with a 12.5 inch display and a focus on business.

The B23E will be available with Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processors, and Windows 7 Home, Professional, or Ultimate operating systems. It has a 1366 x 768 pixel LED backlit anti-glare display support for up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 750GB of hard drive space.

The laptop comes standard with 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, and gigabit Ethernet a well as a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, USB/eSATA combo port, Express Card slot, Smart Card slot, VGA, HDMI, and audio jacks.

Business-friendly security features include LoJack, BIOS pasword protection, HDD password protection, a fingerprint reader, and optional Trusted Platform Module. The Asus B23E also has an anti-shock hard drive and a magnesium alloy case.

It has a 48Whr battery and measure 12″ x 8.1″ x 1.1″.

A model with an Intel Core i7 processor and Windows 7 Home Premium is available for $926.

  1. I have to agree.  this is how portable laptops are supposed to be configured.  Now the price on the other hand…50% or less would start to look appealing.

  2. this looks better to me than a 13.3 “ultrabook”.  I wonder what the battery life is like
