Asus started rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Eee Pad Transformer Prime users earlier this month. But the company hasn’t forgotten about customers that bought the original Eee Pad Transformer — you know, the one with the dual-core processor instead a quad-core chip.

According to a post on the Asus Facebook page, the Eee Pad Transformer will get an Android 4.0 software update in mid-February. Right now the tablet runs Google Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

Google Android 4.0 is designed to run on phones and tablets, and features new graphics, a new system-wide font, a new contact manager, spell-checking, and a slew of other improvements.

The Eee Pad Transformer is a 10 inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an optional keyboard docking station that lets you use the tablet like a laptop.
