Notion Ink Adam tablet with Android 4.0

The folks at Notion Ink and TabletROMs are working on bringing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the Notion Ink Adam Tablet. A few days ago we saw the first photo, and now there’s a video of ICS on the Adam to go with it.

We’re still looking at an early build that appears to have some graphical glitches. But if you’ve been wondering what Android 4.0 will look like on the 10 inch tablet, the video will give you a good idea.

Notion Ink was one of the first companies to produce a tablet with a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor and one of the first to offer an optional Pixel Qi display for outdoor visibility.

The Adam tablet also has an unusual camera design — the camera is built into the edge of the device and can swivel 180 degrees so that the single camera can face the front or back of the tablet.

The demo video shows that Android 4.0 user interface, settings menu, and a few apps, as well as the graphics and toolbars. The software is clearly still a work in progress — the screen flashes green when switching between apps. But those glitches should be gone by the time Notion Ink pushes the software update for existing Adam Tablet users.
