Motorola Droid XYBOARD

Verizon Wireless is now taking orders for the Droid Xyboard 8.2 and 10 inch tablets, also known as the Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition.

The tablets will be available at Verizon stores on December 12th, or you can place orders at the Verizon website. Prices range from $429.99 to $729.99 with a two-year service plan.

  • Xyboard 8.2 with 16GB for $429.99
  • Xyboard 8.2 with 32GB for $529.99
  • Droid Xyboard 10.1 with 16GB for $529.99
  • Droid Xyboard 10.1 with 32GB for $629.99
  • Droid Xyboard 10.1 with 64GB for $729.99

The tablets each feature 1.2 GHz dual core processors, 1GB of RAM, front and rear cameras, and 4G LTE radios. You an also order the tablets contract-free, but prices range form $599.99 for the cheapest model to $899.99 for the 64GB model with a 10.1 inch display.

Motorola currently doesn’t offer WiFi-only versions of the XOOM 2 tablets in the US.

  1. I’m not American, so I’m not that familiar with pricing in the States, but aren’t these massively expensive, even with plans…. or is this normal for 4G LTE models?

      1.  They could’ve at least waterproofed the buggers at that price (like Fujitsu). Rich people tend to spend a lot of time in their pools.
