Acer hasn’t officially announced plans to release any tablets with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processors yet, but the folks at Japanese site ameblo noticed a few documents on the Acer support site suggesting that there are at least 2 new tablets in the works.
Both the Acer Iconia A510 and Iconia Tab A511 will feature 1280 x 800 pixel displays, Google Android operating system, and NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processors.
The only difference between the two tablets is that the A510 will be a WiFi-only model while the A511 will feature mobile broadband capabilities.
There’s currently no information about which version of Android the tablets will ship with, how much storage or RAM, they’ll feature, or even what size screen they’ll have. My money’s on 10 inch displays though, since Acer’s current crop of 10 inch tablets wear Iconia Tab A5xx labels, while the company’s smaller 7 inch tablet is called the Iconia Tab A100.
Acer is also reportedly working on an A200 tablet, but we have even fewer details about that device.
