PlayStation Store

Sony has opened the doors to its PlayStation store for Android devices that are PlayStation Certified. Right now that means the Sony Tablet S, but future phones and tablets could join Sony’s tablet in the future.

At launch there are 10 Playstatin One classic games available for purchase. Each costs $5.99.

  • Cool Boarders
  • Destruction Derby
  • Hot Shots Golf 2
  • Jet Moto
  • Jet Moto 2
  • Jumping Flash!
  • MediEvil
  • Motoro Toon Grand Prix
  • Rally Cross
  • Wild Arms

Sony will push a notification to Tablet S users with a link to download the PlayStation Store on their devices. The Store will be available in nine countries including the US and Canada.

Of course, if you don’t want to wait to buy your games from Sony, you could always install a Playstation emulator such as PSX4Droid or FPSe and load your own PSOne ROMs… which I’ll go ahead and assume you ripped from your own legally purchased Playstation game discs.

  1. Feh, who cares…Sony will just brick it like it did for the PS3 running Linux under OtherOS.

Anyone buying anything from Sony is an idiot, or works for one.
