Motorola XOOM Family Edition

Motorola is launching a new special edition XOOM tablet which will be available exclusively from Best Buy starting on October 16th. The new Motorola XOOM Family Edition will cost $379 at launch, making the tablet a little cheaper than a standard XOOM WiFi tablet.

One key hardware difference is that the Motorola XOOM WiFi normally has 32GB of storage. The Family Edition model has just 16GB.

The rest of the specs look familiar. The new tablet has a 10.1 inch IPS display, a 1 GHz dual core processor, and runs Google Android Honeycomb software.

The Motorola XOOM Family Edition also comes with Kid Zone software which includes educational games as well as an option that parents can use to make sure their kids only access approved content. It also comes with games including Asphalt 6 and SIM City Deluxe.
