Samsung Series 7 Slate PC

Samsung is providing more details about that new Windows tablet the company started showing off yesterday. The Samsung Series 7 Slate PC will be available in the US starting October 2nd, with prices ranging from $1099 to $1349.

There will be four different configurations of the tablet. All four will feature 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel displays with capacitive touch panels for finger input and digitizers for use with a digital pen. All four will also come with 4GB of DDR3 memory, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and up to 7 hours of battery life. They each have Intel Core i5-2467M processors and Intel HD graphics and they each weigh about 2 pounds.

You also get a 3MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and a full-sized USB port.

The $1099 model will have a 64GB solid state disk, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

For $1199 you can upgrade to a model with the same hardware and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

$1349 gets you either a model with a 128GB and Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional.

    1. If it really provides up to 7 hours run time, then it’s already better.  Asus really needs to update the EP121, hardware still pre-dates Sandy Bridge, but they may be waiting on Ivy Bridge to come out for a more significant upgrade.
