  1. I ordered the refurbished Aspire One from ecost when it was listed here last week.  SInce then they’ve dropped the price $5.  After ordering, ecost told me to call them to verify that I actually placed the order.  This involved waiting on hold to talk to someone in India.  Then they held my order for a week for “credit card verification”.  They finally shipped it today.

Some of the third-party resellers on amazon.com sell refurbished computers for similar prices.  If I’d known how much of a pain in the ass ecost would be, I’d have ordered from amazon instead.

    1. Update: I received the computer and it’s like new.  Nothing wrong with it at all.

      1. Good to hear. It’s been a while since I bought anything from eCost, but I believe I had a similar experience: delivery was slow but the product was exactly as described.
