HP has announced it will soon offer a new, faster version of the HP TouchPad tablet. The HP TouchPad 4G will have a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor. It will also have an HSPA+ modem for use on AT&T’s wireless network.
The current HP TouchPad is a WiFi-only device with a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core chip.
The new model will feature 32GB of storage and integrated GPS. The rest of the specs appear to be unchanged, which means you’ll still get a tablet with a 9.7 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel capacitive touchscreen display that runs webOS 3.0.
Update: This is My Next has some hands-on photos, but the tablet looks nearly identical to the WiFi-only model. The site also reports that there are currently no plans to offer the faster 1.5 GHz processor in the WiFi model.
1024 x 768, that is.
You’re only saying that because it’s true. 🙂
