Palm has long offered webOS Doctor software which smartphone users could use to fix problems with the operating system. Now HP is offering a Doctor which brings the same functionality to the HP TouchPad tablet, which is the first device to run webOS 3.0.

The software is available for download from the webOS Internals page.

You can use the webOS Doctor to restore your device if anything goes wrong. That could cover a wide range of circumstances, but the software really comes in handy if you plan to do any hacking with your shiny new TouchPad or install homebrew apps that aren’t available from the official App Catalog.
