Dell has already unveiled plans to launch a new 10 inch Android tablet in China before introducing the device in North America, Europe, or Japan. But the company hasn’t said when the Dell Streak 10 Pro will hit China. Now it looks like the answer may be very, very soon.
VR-Zone reports the tablet could launch in China this week, and Chinese tech blog m8cool has posted a picture showing Dell’s new 10 inch tablet. Dell’s current 5 and 7 inch tablets are thrown in for good measure, just in case you had any doubts that the 10 inch model was bigger.
Interestingly, while the Dell Streak 10 Pro is running Google Android 3.x Honeycomb, the Dell Streak 7 also seems to have Honeycomb installed. Dell currently ships the tablet with Google Android 2.2. It’s not clear if the tablet in the picture has been hacked to run the tablet-friendly version of Android or if this is an indication that Dell will be offering a software update soon.
The Dell Streak 10 Pro is expected to have a 1280 x 800 pixel display, NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, and front and rear-facing cameras. Accordng to m8cool the tablet weighs about 1.5 pounds.
