Samsung is getting ready to take the Series 5 Chromebook international. The 12.1 inch Chrome OS laptop has been on sale in the US since June 15th. Tomorrow it goes on sale in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Spain.
The WiFi-only model will run £349 in the UK and €399 elsewhere. A 3G model will run £399 in the UK and €449 in other countries. The 3G pricing plans will vary by country.
Samsung’s international push is coming while Acer is still working to get its first Chromebook out the door in the US. The Acer AC700 Chromebook was supposed to launch at the same time as Samsung’s laptop, but it has yet to hit store shelves and it appears it may be another month or two before the Acer model goes on sale.
