Samsung Kies for Mac

Samsung has pushed out an updated version of its Kies software for Mac which finally adds support for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. That means you can finally connect the 10 inch Android table to a Mac to transfer files and media to the tablet.

The Kies software is also designed to let you synchronize media, contacts, and other data between a computer and tablet. I don’t happen to have a Mac handy so I can’t confirm which Kies features are available for the Tab 10.1 other than support for a USB connection.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is an Android tablet with a 10 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. It’s the thinnest and lightest 10 inch tablet on the market today, weighing just 1.25 pounds and measuring about a third of an inch thick. That makes it even thinner and lighter than an iPad 2 — although you’ll be hard pressed to see the difference.
