Ekoore Perl

Italian company Ekoore introduced a tablet computer running Ubuntu Linux last year. Now Ekoore is back with three new tablets, with the rather geeky names of Perl, Python and Pascal. Two of the tablets are designed to run Ubuntu Linux or Windows 7, while the third is a budget Android tablet with a rather familiar looking design.

Ekoore Perl

This tablet has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel multitouch display, HDMI output, stereo audio, and a case that’s just 0.55 inches thick. The Perl is designed to run Ubuntu Linux or Windows 7. I don’t see any information about the processor.

Ekoore Python

The Python is basically what you would get if you stripped the keyboard off a netbook and added a touchscreen to make up for it. The tablet has a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, a solid state disk, 3 USB ports, a mini HDMI port (which is funny because the chipset isn’t really designed for HD video), WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G.

Ekoore says you should get around 4 hours of use from this tablet. It can run Windows 7 or Ubuntu. The Python is a little thicker than the Perl, measuring about 0.62 inches thick.

Ekoore Pascal

Ekoore’s Pascal tablet features a 7 inch multitouch display, a 1.2 GHz Telechips ARM Cortex-A8 dual core processor, and Android 2.3 operating system. It measures 0.48 inches thick and weighs less than half a pound.

The Android tablet has 512MB of RAM and 4G of storage space.

  1. Can’t believe their website doesn’t show English language as if their products aren’t really for international consumers. Imagine the trouble non Italians users would be in to communicate with them

  2. This Ekoore people are not to be trusted. I bought a Tablet PC and it arrived broken down from factory. Ekoore did not respond to my claims. If you buy an Ekoore product you can forget about the warranty. I do not recommend Ekoore.
Esta gente de Ekoore no es de fiar. Compré un Tablet PC y vino roto de fábrica. Ekoore no respondió a mis reclamaciones. Si compras un producto Ekoore olvídate de la garantía. No te recomiendo a Ekoore.
