Asus North America hasn’t announced an official US release date for the upcoming Eee Pad Slider, but the company has promised that the 10 inch Android tablet with a pull-out keyboard will be available “soon.” It looks like European Asus fans are getting some more concrete details though.
Asus UK has posted on Facebook to let us know that the Slider will be available in that country in August. An Eee Pad Transformer with 3G wireless capabilities will launch in the UK in August as well.
In Germany you can find a product page for the tablet at Amazon.de. There’s no price or release date yet, and Amazon.de does have a habit of jumping the gun and creating product pages long before devices are actually read to ship. But at least we have a sign that the tablet will be available in Germany at some point.
The Eee Pad Slider features an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display and runs Google Android 3.x Honeycomb. The keyboard hangs out behind the tablet. When you pull the keyboard it slides forward so you can use the tablet like a laptop… or like a tablet with a hardware keyboard anyway.
