WeTab 10 inch tablet

The WeTab is a German tablet running a custom operating system based on MeeGo Linux with support for Linux and Android apps. The original WeTab featured an 11.6 inch, 1366  x 768 pixel display and 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 processor. But there’s a new version on display at Computex this week with a new chipset and a smaller display.

The new WeTab has a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom Z670 Oak Trail chip and a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. The folks at Netbook News and nDevil spent some hands-on time with the tablet and found that it has a SIM card slot, HDMI output, USB and the WeTab’s signature operating system.

You can check out a few hands-on videos after the break.
