Acer subsidiary Packard Bell has already received its own rebranded version of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android tablet, so clearly its Gateway’s turn now. After all, Gateway is own by Acer too, right?
The folks at Unwired View spotted a few listings for Gateway tablets that certainly seem to fit the bill. The Gateway TP-A60W and TP-A60G both showed up at the Bluetooth web site recently.
There’s not much information about the tablets, other than the fact that they have capacitive multitouch displays and run Google Android. But the tablets certainly look enough like the Acer Iconia Tab A500 that I’ll go out on a limb and tell you they probably have 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel displays, Google Android 3.x Honeycomb, and front and rear cameras.
It’s not clear what the difference is between the TP-A60G and TP-A60W, but I suspect there may be some differences in wireless components or disk space. Both tabelts are expected to be available in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.
Perhaps G version is 3G/4G; W version is wireless LAN only?
