Asus Eee Pad Tranformer

Asus has announced that it will roll out a software update for the Eee Pad Transformer tablet tomorrow updating the operating system from Android 3.0 to Android 3.1. Sure, a leaked copy of the update already hit the web this weekend, but if you’ve been waiting to go through official channels, it looks like the wait should end on May 31st.

Google Android 3.1 is an incremental update, bringing a handful of minor tweaks to the web browser and home screen such as resizable widgets and support for up to 16 items in your recent apps menu. The biggest changes have to do with improved graphics performance which make tablets feel faster since the user interface uses hardware graphics acceleration for 3D effects.

The Android 3.1 update will be available as a free download for Asus Eee Pad transformer users across the globe.
