Trigem has announced its intentions to enter the Android tablet space with a 10 inch model powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. Unfortunately the tablet will ship with a 1024 x 600 pixel display, Google Android 2.2, and a rather silly name. It’s called the Tabit.
Most of the tablets we’ve seen so far with Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb have had higher resolution 1280 x 800 pixel displays. That doesn’t mean we couldn’t see a Honeycomb update for the Tabit down the line, but despite the nearly industry-standard NVIDIA Tegra dual core processor, it doesn’t look like Trigem got Google’s blessing to preinstall the tablet-friendly version of Google’s mobile operating system on the tablet.
The Trigem Tabit also features Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, microSD, and USB ports.
