Lenovo is now selling the IdeaPad S205 notebook for $499 and up. The base model features an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, a 1.6 GHz AMD E-350 dual core processor, Radeon HD 6310 graphics, 3GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a 6 ell battery. That’s not a bad deal for $499.
Lenovo is also offering configurations with 4GB of RAM optional Bluetooth, and up to 750GB of hard disk space. All models come standard with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
There’s no mention on the product page of the HSPA+ modem spotted in a recent FCC filing, but it’s possible that Lenovo could offer that option later. It’s also possible that AT&T could stock a version of the laptop with the mobile broadband option built in.
I got a chance to check out a pre-release version of the IdeaPad S205 earlier this year. I liked the style, but found the touchpad to be a bit on the small side.
