If you run the BlackBerry Desktop Manager app on a Windows computer and plug in a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, you can use the software to sync your music, pictures, videos automatically. If you run the Mac version of the software… nothing happens when you plug in a PlayBook. That’s because Mac support won’t be available until this summer.
That doesn’t mean it’s impossible to copy files from a Mac to a PlayBook tablet. When you connect the tablet to a Mac via a USB cable, it shows up as an external drive, allowing you to manually transfer files. The PlayBook also supports wireless file transfer over a WiFi network. But it sounds like an official synchronization solution for Mac users is still a few months away.
WOWWW I THOUGHT I WAS JUST GOING NUTS. I can deal with the no native email, bbm, and everything else. But now i cant sync it with my mac to have an easy time transferring files? …. Looks like im gonna have to start up BootCamp… Thanks for the Article, I thought my Tablet was broken or something.
