CF cards may seem so 2002, but if you have a professional camera you may still be using CompactFlash cards instead of SD or microSD cards. While Apple’s Camera Connection Kit for the iPad and iPad 2 is designed to let you transfer photos from a camera to an iPad for viewing on a nice big 9.7 inch display, the kit only supports SD cards, not CF. The folks at M.I.C. Gadget have come up with an unofficial Chinese adapter that fills the void.
The iPad 2 CF Card Camera Connection Kit lets you connect a CF card to an iPad via the docking port. It also has a USB adapter for plugging in a camera or other supported accessory.
The adapter supports CF cards with speeds up to 400X and it’s available for pre-order for $29.90. The CF card adapter is expected to ship on April 25th. It’s also compatible with the first generation iPad.
